Lets see if we can get together next week for a character creation/party building session. Depending on how long this takes, we may be able to delve a bit into the setting (or even kick off the campaign, if we have ~90 min leftover).
Based on everyone's schedules, it looks like these are the potential dates, and I listed my earliest start time, but of course, we can start later as needed:
Sunday, Dec 9 @ 7:30pm
Monday, Dec 10 @ 6pm
Friday, Dec 14 @ 6pm (or maybe not cos of the Hobbit feast?)
Saturday, Dec 15 @ 12pm

The only listed day I could do is the 15th and that is a Santacon which may or may not matter to some people.  |

It doesn't matter to me  Would it be possible to meet up for a couple hours for a strictly character-creation lunch session first? Then, you can all go get arrested in reindeer suits  Alternatively, but more last minute, it looks like I am free this Wed (Dec 5 - which I know probly won't work for icnivad, so probly no-go) evening and Saturday (Dec 8) anytime. Or if we have to wait another week, no big deal. |

Whoops, just seeing that this new board was created. Santacon usually starts at noon, so I don't think we could do a before santacon game. I could do this Friday, next Sunday or Monday.

Session #1 (Character Creation): Friday, Dec 7
Looks like this is the only day that works for everyone between this week and next week, so lets get things rolling on Friday, take next week off, and try to kickoff the campaign the following week.
What time do people want to start on Friday? And how long do you want to gather for this? Here are some factors and options:
Starting Time - I am going to try to work on Friday, but I won't know about that until Thursday morning, or maybe even Friday morning. *If* I do work, the latest I would be home on Friday is 7:30pm, but it could be as early as 6pm. Or maybe there will be no cabs available and don't work. Therefore, we could set a solid start time of 7:30pm (or later). Or we could have it be a fluid start time of 7:30pm with the possibility of starting earlier (if so, what would be your early starting time?), and I could text everyone by Friday morning to let you know.
Length - We could hash out all the basics in an hour or so, if some people have other Friday night things they'd like to hit up, and those who don't are welcome to stay longer. Any fine tuning that remains can be done online next week. Or if no one has other plans, we could aim for 2-3-4 hrs and delve into the setting and what your characters do with their lives. Could even play out a bit of backstory with a slight chance of dipping toes into the campaign. Though, I probably wouldn't kickoff too much unless we completed characters super fast with a couple hours to spare.
So yeah, let me know what works for you and what you prefer, and I'll sort it all out. Also, if characters aren't totally finished after this session or online tinkering next week, we can spend a little time (30 min?) of the next session to do so.

While we're all looking at our calendars, these are the dates and starting times that are open for me the week after next. I know you may not be able to commit to any of these yet, but it will be good to know if any of these are already booked for you.

I'm down for Friday and could start 6pm or later. This is the only event I'm planning and would be up for staying late-ish to get characters sorted and ready to go. I like the idea of playing out a bit of back story as an interlude for the campaign if time permits.
Would this be at your place reefwood? Want me to bring the paper grid pads? You still don't have internet, right?
Right now the 16th, 17th, and 22nd are open for me. I currently prefer the Saturday afternoon.

The smaller one should work for this session, and if we ever need more space, the bigger one should suffice. Also, I saw that icnivad offered his space with big tables, but I'm not expecting any giant battles like War Stories, and my place seems to be in the middle of where everyone else lives. I bought a new grid in the spring in preparation for the Daytime D&D, so I'm set for a while. No internet or printer. Or at least, my printer is out of ink, and I have some coming in the mail, but it may not get here until next week. |

Well, gents, I'm afraid I'm going to throw a wrench into things. My assistant manager has a personal emergency to attend to, so I need to cover his shift Friday night. You guys should still do character creation, I'll either take care of it online or find some time to get together with Franco and do it.
