I could probably do this, too. Would I make a new character? And would it just be the two of us? Sweet. I don't imagine anyone beside you or Michael has time to play, so that's what I'm planning for. I'd say a player can make a new character for any session of War Stories and/or bring back old ones that survive at a later time, but the player can only keep the spoils of war (and perhaps bit of fame) when playing a recurring character. For example, if you play the Wizard (who is now at 3rd level), you will start off with all the goodies awarded from the first session. If you make a new character, you will start off more on the run-in-the-mill side of things. Although, if you make a new character for this one but bring back the Wizard for the next one, the Wizard will still have all the goodies from the first session but nothing from this next session. And Michael, any ideas on what kind of character you want to play? What I can tell you is that this adventure will take place right after the successful storming of the beach. There aren't any real coastal cities along the Hydrahead Peninsula, just military forts, that have all been taken over, and scattered fishing hamlets. The next step is to establish a foothold inland and take control of major cities & resource centers. As most of the army heads toward those, small divisions are dispatched to scour the countryside for any hidden outposts, establish the change of power in small villages, take a general survey of the land to note any changes since allied forces were driven from this region, and then, to rejoin the main armies as support in the upcoming major offensives. Your characters will be part of one of these smaller divisions.

Hey, reefwood, did you mark this thread as an announcement earlier? I thought it was something I'd done accidentally, but after I undid it, I realized you might have intentionally marked it that way.

I may not stick with this, but I think I'm going to be a fighter, probably take weapon finesse and use a rapier. I'm the son of a noble family with a strong tradition of military service. Arrogant.
DEX - 15 CON - 15 WIS - 13 STR - 11 INT - 10 CHA - 8

Hey, reefwood, did you mark this thread as an announcement earlier? I thought it was something I'd done accidentally, but after I undid it, I realized you might have intentionally marked it that way. I may have marked this thread as an announcement, but I didn't mean to do that. I don't know what I clicked... didn't even realize that I did click something, but I noticed the thread was listed at the top of the board. I thought it had something to do with there being new posts in this thread, but that never happened before, so I was confused. Thanks for fixing it! I may not stick with this, but I think I'm going to be a fighter, probably take weapon finesse and use a rapier. I'm the son of a noble family with a strong tradition of military service. Arrogant. DEX - 15 CON - 15 WIS - 13 STR - 11 INT - 10 CHA - 8 Fighter sounds good to me, but if you change your mind, that's fine too. I'll work on getting some character starting info figured out. You may start out at 2nd level but in addition to all the equipment listed in the character creation post as the start of this thread, you will probably get a few additional items.

Yeah, Wednesday works for me. Anything I should know before playing that I can't find by reading this thread?

We will be playing on Wednesday at the casa de Enric!
Starting time will be 8pm, instead of 7pm, because I have housemate search interviews to conduct beforehand.

Turns out that I won't be able to play on Wednesday. Sorry for the last minute postponement! It's just that Wed is going to be the best night for Mikey & I to both be home to interview potential housemates. Would another evening this week work for you two? Saturday or Sunday? Maybe even Friday? The earliest starting time for me would be 8pm on any of these evenings.

I should be able to do any of those evenings. I'd prefer to do it Friday or Saturday, but if Sunday is what works best for everyone, I can play then.

I actually can't do any of those nights - my kids at work are having a graduation Friday night, Cara and I might go out on Saturday, and my mom will be here on Sunday. Sorry.

No worries on being busy. How about next Wednesday? If that doesn't work, I could really do just about any other evening as well. Monday is probably the next best one followed by Thursday and then Tuesday.
