I'm still here and interesting in playing a hacker type. My creation time has just been going toward War Stories right now, and I was planning to start looking at this after tomorrow. Though, I would like to look at this just a few days before we get together - to have it fresh in my mind - so I'm kind of waiting for a date to be set, but no hurry on that either.

OK! the next step is to send me/post your character's name. I will then start a new thread with your character's name as the title. There you can post your online character sheet as the first post and use the rest of the thread for personal notes or whatever else (I will not likely be posting much there.)
And in the meantime lets discuss the characters a little more and the connection your characters have (if any)....

Are there any examples of Elven names in Shadowrun? As in D&D style names? Or do metas here just have regular everyday names?

Are there any examples of Elven names in Shadowrun? As in D&D style names? Or do metas here just have regular everyday names? is the “elven language.” Some locations like Tír na nÓg and Tír Tairngire (whose names are in Sperethiel) have populations more likely to have elven styled names, but in most parts of the world all metatypes tend to have common language names. For real world reference use gaelic for a sperethiel sounding name. Also, Or’zet was a dead “ork language” rediscovered when the dragon Dunkelzahn bequeathed the Or'zet codex to the ork Robert Page in 2057. For real world reference use the stereotypical orc languages of Tolkien and such. Rough hard words. For both languages there might not be any names like “Bob” but some people use Sperenthiel or Or’zet words or phrases as their names. Especially shadowrunners who get to choose their names.  Or some less educated parents might try and give their children ork or elven sounding names… PS: you might have a real name but your character will likely have at least one alias. In some ways your primary ShadowRunner alias is the most important. |
