Scheduling - Game #1
How do people feel about playing at my place (SE Hawthorne & 21st) in two weeks on Monday, April 2nd from 2-8pm with a dinner break between 5-6pm? This isn't the only option for the week, but it's the easiest one for me, so I want to start here, see how people feel, and adjust as needed. Also, this will be the kind of game where it will be okay if one player jumped in an hour or 90 minutes late.

Re: Scheduling - Game #1 I think that would be great. maybe make it 2:30? Any plans on what we are playing? 2:30 would be toally fine, but if you're a little pressed for time, we could start at 2pm, and you could just jump in at 3pm and not have to hurry. This game will actually work really well for that sort of thing, but we don't have to decide the exact start time quite yet. Getting a day down is a good enough start for now, so lets see what the others say. As for what we are playing, it will be a low-level Pathfinder game. Details will be posted in a new thread for this specific game. Also, I can say that each game I run will be different from each other. Everything from setting and character creation to the books used and ways that some rules are enforced. I will try to have a variety of challenges in each game, but there could be one that has almost no combat and another that has plenty. I do plan on increasing the starting level to some degree with most new games, and you could play the same character in multiple games, but each time, you would start over - which means you don't keep anything from previous games, but you can rebuild each time. Or just make a new character for each game.

Okay, let's aim for 2pm and start when sil shows up, and hopefully, michael can make it too.

Re: Scheduling - Game #1: Morrow Valley I can be there by two, but I might have to leave by 7pm. I'll know for certain later this week. See everyone then! Sweet, and good to know. If you do have to leave before 8pm, how about this: Let's aim to start at 2pm, and sil can jump in when she shows up. There will be a few points early on in the adventure where this will be super easy to do. The dinner break will be replaced by a 30 minute snack/brain break, and if people want, we can do dinner at 7pm or so. There may still be some roleplaying to do after michael leaves, but I'll make sure all the major stuff gets tackled by that point. Also, my computer is still in the shop - they pretty much dropped the ball - until after this game, which isn't too big deal for prep, but it means I may not be able to post info or reply to questions after Friday since I probably won't have time for library computers while I'm working. Just an FYI. And another computer-related thing to note...there is no internet at my new place, nor can I print anything right now, so make sure you have character sheets on paper or already downloaded.

This will be my first Pathfinder game so I'm stoked. I'm thinking of playing a Cleric and there are so many realms of focus! Here are two ideas I have kicking around: Animal focus that acts like a vet Community or Luck focus daughter of and innkeeper

Cleric is probably a good place to start because there are some changes from 3.5 but not a ton, and they do get a boost to a special power or class feature almost every level. The vet is a neat idea, and there are plenty of farm animals in this hamlet. Also, I do have an innkeeper in the story who has a half-elven daughter that works as a server in the restaurant/bar part of it. You could be that daughter or another or there could be another inn that your family owns. I'm going to post some more info about NPCs in a bit.

Game Day - #1: Morrow Valley Just a reminder that we are starting at 2pm If you need to get a hold of me, you will have to call because my computer is still out of commission. Also, there is NO reliable internet or printer at my place. Be sure to download anything before you get here, and if you need to print something, there is a library on SE 39th between Belmont and Hawthorne (10 cents per sheet). What I can provide are dice, pencils, paper, and figurines Oh, and if you want to come over early to work on your character or whatnot, I will be home at 1:30pm. See you all soon!!

Format FeedbackThanks again for coming out to try this new daytime format. I know the ending wound up being difficult to figure out and made the game go much later than expected, but aside from that, what did people think about it - playing during the day, snack break, leveling up during a session, etc? I'll post some story explantions in the game thread once I get my laptop back. Re: SchedulingHey Reefwood, I hate to do this last minute, but it looks like some work stuff has cropped up this afternoon and I'm not going to be able to make it after all. Sorry everyone. No worries, we still had enough to play. Although, last minute messages should be sent via phone from now on because even when I do get my laptop back, I still won't have internet at home.
