Pathfinder Chronicles: Epilogue
Spring 4713
Whisperfall Pass roars violently as spring unleashes torrential downpours, thundering rock slides, and raging rivers of snowmelt throughout the Tusk Mountains. Two months are spent in caves while the builders study the prior surveying done by field agents, further assess the area themselves, and wait for calm. The third month sees the clouds break and waters recede. The builders reassess their work as the mud settles and signs of life return. Field agents are tasked with protecting the builders throughout the season. Meanwhile, Venture-Captain Blackmoon and Chronicler Leda Oinio pour over the findings from Whitefall and consult with the Grand Lodge in Absalom.
Summer 4713
A location is chosen for the new Pathfinder lodge. Upon the highest hill among a tight grouping of rocky mounds. One mile east of the pass. Near the border of Ustalav and not far from the abandoned remnants of Sarkoris. Fallen boulders from the mountains are broken and shaped into stone blocks; any ore found within them is forged into steel. Lumber brought in the caravan is turned into doors and furniture. Furs of wild beasts are woven into rugs and blankets; the meat is dried into rations.
Autumn 4713
The newest Pathfinder lodge is complete. In the midst a wild and dangerous land that has seen much darkness over the ages and even today. Old scars have yet to heal. The demonic rift breeds fresh chaos and destruction. History has been lost and new mysteries have risen. Starspire shall serve as a sanctuary for weary travelers. As a waypoint for intrepid adventurers. As a guiding light for explorers of all sorts seeking buried knowledge, forgotten lore, and untold secrets. Perhaps a little less obvious in the meaning is that the stars shine brightest when the moon is black.
