Nifty ideas. I like all the animal/class combos. They all make sense in a way. Also, it looks like you will be Large or Huge. Good to know!
I still plan on playing a wolf druid w/a wolf animal companion and wolf cohort. (they'll have some teamwork feats and tripping) I like the idea of the wolves serving 'the lands in between' and working as scouts, news bringers, and harbingers. They roam where the mountain meets the forest meets the fields. So maybe the forest or grasslands work best as their homeland? And I plan on doing most of my actual character building on Saturday at the table. The wolf friends would certainly make good scouts. Your PC could roam the center of your region with the scouts patrolling the outskirts. The trio probably can't cover the whole area everyday, but they can certainly cover a lot of ground. The Forest or Grassland would work well, though, the Forest and Grassland don't actually touch. They are both bordered by the Peaks, Jungle, and Marsh, but the Waterways are between the Forest and Grassland.

I've narrowed it down to two. The vulture oracle would have the Bones mystery. I would prefer the peaks environment, but could also live in the grasslands or skies. The centipede barbarian makes the most sense for either the forest, jungle, or caverns. Also worth noting, the centipede is in the huge size category but has the compression ability, which lets it function at 1/4 its size without penalty, or 1/8th its size while squeezing!

Re: Giant Vulture OracleThe Bones mystery seems to thematically fit a vulture very nicely. Necromancy is considered rather blasphemous in these parts, but it would fly best in the Peaks, so that would be perfect. Tor the Burial Mound is the Patron of the Peaks, which serve as the border between life (the Valley) and death (the outside world), so it would make sense for there wanting to be some curiosity and/or level of control over death in this region. A giant animal also fits nicely into the Peaks theme of enormous mountains, and there are other oversized creatures in the region. Re: Giant Whiptail Centipede BarbarianNeato about compression. It brings a couple things to mind:
1) 1/2 of Huge seems to be Large, and 1/4 would seem to be Medium. However, Huge is 9 squares, and 1/2 of that is 4 squares (rounded down), and 1/4 is 2 squares (rounded down). Also, looking at the squeezing rules, a Large creature(4 squares) does squeeze into 2 squares, so it would seem that 1/4 Huge would also be 2 squares. 1/8 Huge would be 1 square and squeezing for this creature. I'm pretty sure this is correct but just wanted to state it cos it's something that didn't come to mind at first.
2) Does reach stay the same while compressed or squeezed? Could this creature squeeze into 1 square and still tail slap something 20 ft away? I don't see anything that says reach changes with compression or squeezing, but it made me wonder.

RegionsThis looks to be what is shaping up for potential animal-region pairings: Gorilla - Jungle Wolf - Grassland (or Forest) Giant Black Widow - ? (maybe Marsh or Caverns or Forest?) Vulture - Peaks Giant Whiptail Centipede - Forest or Caverns

So...I want to use a spear. Is it feasible enough to fashion a large spear for throwing purposes in a jungle?

...and...can my minor item be a healer's kit (maybe I'm getting good at creating balms/salves from the jungle plants)? (using my craft skill to make more later, maybe?)

Re: SpearI always imagined that the spears in D&D were made of metal, or at least had metal tips. Making a wooden spear would be fine, but I'm going to say that it does damage as one size category less, so a Large spear would do the 1d8 damage of a Medium spear. Also, it would not be masterwork. So...I want to use a spear. Is it feasible enough to fashion a large spear for throwing purposes in a jungle? Re: Healer's KitI'm all for naturothapy, so a Healer's Kit made from what you can find in the jungle works for me. I would say that restocking it requires a Survival check. Maybe something like DC 20 for 1d4 hours of work to find one use, and you find additional uses for every 5 above the DC, so getting a Survival check result of 28 produced 2 uses in 1d4 hours. ...and...can my minor item be a healer's kit (maybe I'm getting good at creating balms/salves from the jungle plants)? (using my craft skill to make more later, maybe?)

Re: Horn Lamellar ArmorYeah. That looks great! An increase to armor check penalty for compression makes sense. Although, how do you determine the armor check penalty? I don't see that listed, or other armor properties such as max Dex bonus or arcane spell failure.

It is medium armor. +5 AC, +3 max dex, -4 armor check penalty. I posted 3 links, the second one is the armor table with that info.
I may end up going with leather lamellar instead of horn. It's light armor instead of medium, so I could keep my speed. +4 AC, +3 max dex, -2 armor check.

Patron Blesings
I will post more info about the patrons, but these are your blessing options. You can select the standard blessing or the greater blessing of your patron.
Vine the Boundless Fury, Patron of the Jungle
Blessing of Boundless Fury +1 damage to natural attacks +1 CMB
Greater Blessing of Boundless Fury Enraged: +4 Str / -2 Dex Ferocious: This creature remains conscious and can continue fighting even if its hit point total is below 0. The creature is still staggered and loses 1 hit point each round, or 2 hit points if it performs a standard action. A creature with ferocity still dies when its hit point total reaches a negative amount equal to its Constitution score. Oversized Claws: This creature receives a -2 penalty on attack rolls with all natural attacks but adds 1-1/2 times the creature’s Strength bonus to damage instead of its normal Strength bonus or half its Strength bonus.
Brim the Inner Flame, Patron of the Caverns
Blessing of Inner Flame +1 Fortitude +1 Sense Motive
Greater Blessing of Inner Flame Resolute: +2 Con / +2 Wis / -2 Cha Fire-Skinned: This creature gains resist fire 20 but is vulnerable to cold and is staggered for 1 round per 10 points of cold damage taken. Sightless: This creature is blind but has blindsense with a range of 10 ft per HD and blindsight at half that range.
Stalk the Twilight Hunt, Patron of the Grassland
Blessing of the Twilight Hunt +1 Will +1 Survival
Greater Blessing of Twilight Hunt Seasoned: +4 Wis / -2 Str Slow But Steady: This creature reduces all forms of movement by 10 ft but receives a +2 bonus on all checks and saves to avoid becoming fatigued or exhausted or slowed in any way. Coup de Grapple: This creature may perform a coup de grace against a pinned opponent as part of the standard action to maintain the grapple. The grappled opponent receives a +4 bonus to their CMD to resist the coup de grace.
Silt the Silent Decay, Patron of the Marsh
Blessing of Silent Decay +1 skill point per level +1 Stealth
Greater Blessing of Silent Decay Mind Over Body: +4 Int / -2 Con Rotten: Every wound received by this creature from a slashing or piercing weapon releases a foul odor which nauseates all other creatures within 5 ft for 1 round. Each of these wounds results in 1 hit point of bleed damage. Bleed damage from multiple wounds stack. Bleed damage is stopped by a spell that cures hit point damage, or a Heal check DC 15+bleed damage. Withered: Reduce natural armor in half (min. 0). Reduce size modifiers for CMB, CMD, Fly, and Stealth by one size category. Reduce penalties for squeezing in half and move as normal.

Just to confirm, we would have to take all items under the Greater Blessing if that is what we select, correct? Or do we pick one of the listed abilities?

Character Details
These are some questions that may help flesh out your character and interactions. Of course, your characters are relatively new to being awakened, and as players, this is also very new and unknown, so your answers may change over time. Also, this isn't a mandatory survey, and you may not even have answers or opinions on some of these things yet. Answer what you can, or none at all, but at least give this some thought.
Just as a reminder...your main duties as Caretakers are to observe your region, report findings to the Patrons, and follow their guidance. You are also required to help nature maintain balance when necessary, eliminate all corruption that enters the Valley, and on lesser occasion, there is the need to select a replacement for a lost Caretaker.
1) Where do you live? (i.e. den, nest, nomad, etc)
2) What do you eat? Has it changed since you've been awakened?
3) What do you think about being awakened? (i.e. good, bad, easy, hard, wonderful, strange, etc)
4) In what ways are you the same as before your awakening?
5) How do you act or see things differently since being awakened?
6) How do you get around? (i.e. walk, fly, swim, magic, etc)
7) How do you communicate across large distances with the other Caretakers?
8) What do you think of your Patron? (i.e. deity, parent, mentor, alpha, friend, etc)
9) What do you think of humanoids? (i.e. evil, flawed, foolish, weak, etc)
10) How old are you? (i.e. actual years as well as life stage: young, young adult, adult, etc)
More info on individual Patrons will be posted later today by Monday.

1) Where do you live? (i.e. den, nest, nomad, etc) I live behind mist, under muck and mulch. I live where I roam. I live within the rot. 2) What do you eat? Has it changed since you've been awakened? I eat what I find or what I kill. Why would this change? 3) What do you think about being awakened? (i.e. good, bad, easy, hard, wonderful, strange, etc) The Gift is good. I am better. 4) In what ways are you the same as before your awakening?I kill. I eat. I avoid becoming food. Life is life. 5) How do you act or see things differently since being awakened?I kill better. I eat more. Many things I used to avoid now become my food. Life is life; my place in the food chain has risen. 6) How do you get around? (i.e. walk, fly, swim, magic, etc) Creep and crawl. Skitter, scurry, and swim, stalk and strike. 7) How do you communicate across large distances with the other Caretakers? Those who wish to communicate with me can find their own way of doing it. 8) What do you think of your Patron? (i.e. deity, parent, mentor, alpha, friend, etc) Rude. Arrogant. It treats me as inferior! Always demanding, commanding. But it gave the Gift, and it is of the marsh. Made it my marsh. It is... acceptable. 9) What do you think of humanoids? (i.e. evil, flawed, foolish, weak, etc) They are not worth thought. 10) How old are you? (i.e. actual years as well as life stage: young, young adult, adult, etc) Old enough to be big. Old enough to have plates fully hardened. Old enough to make a clutch, if I chose. Not so old that the decay of Silt has begun. Not so old that my mandibles are weak. Not so old that my legs slow.
