Brim, the Inner Flame, is a large, slender biped with bat-like wings and skin the consistency of lava rock. An orange glow emanates from within the cracks. It pulses softly but can burn brightly or dim entirely. This allows for everything from a blinding brilliance to vanishing in the darkness but is usually a steady balance between the two. Also, Brim is the sole Patron without a gendered identity. Neither feminine nor masculine.
Brim values obedience, restraint, and resilience. Generally calm and quiet, emotionless and expressionless, yet capable of acting with glaring speed and sudden fervor.
Brim is the web-like network of underground Caverns through which magma flows and steam rises. Brim is the world without light and the fire that stokes deep. Brim is the unseen silence that perceives all.
Region (Caverns): A web of lava tubes heated by the occasional magma flow or steam vent forms a cavernous underground maze where darkness and noxious fumes create a harsh environment unsuitable to most creatures. Yet, life persists. Namely in the form of bats, arachnids, insects, and fungus.
Season: Midummer
Day/Time: First day of Midsummer / Mid-afternoon
Manifestation: All the Caretakers must gather in the Caverns at mid-afternoon before the first day of Midsummer. They must follow the tunnels which feel hottest and continue deep below the surface without food or water or rest. Brim will appear at mid-afternoon of the first day of Midsummer to those who endure the journey.
Influence: Resistance effects are empowered in the Caverns. Affected targets receive a penalty to Charisma-based checks equal to the amount of the resistance effect for the duration of the effect. This influence spreads to the entire Valley at midafternoon on the first day of Midsummer, and each day that follows there is a 10% less chance of this influence being felt outside the Caverns (Day 2 = 90%, Day 3 = 80%, etc).
Like every Patron, Brim casts an individualized version of the Awaken spell, which includes a blessing of minor boons. The blessing is the same for every Caretaker awakened by Brim, but on rare occasion, by chance or fate, a Caretaker is infused with a greater blessing of more significant strengths and weaknesses representative of the Patron. You may select the standard Blessing or the Greater Blessing and take all the qualities of the one you select.

Resolute: +2 Con / +2 Wis / -2 Cha
Fire-Skinned: This creature gains resist fire 20 but is vulnerable to cold and is staggered for 1 round per 10 points of cold damage taken.
Sightless: This creature is blind but has blindsense with a range of 10 ft per HD and blindsight at half that range.
