There is a small isle in the center of the Lake that is in the center of the Valley. This isle contains terrain elements of every region in the Valley. The water around the isle laps against a marshy beach, which leads to a grassy inland and then a rainforest that ends at a rocky mound rising high and peppered with caves. Finally, atop the mound stand the tallest trees, which reach up to the clouds floating above them.
The isle is linked to portals spread across the Valley. One in each region. Which allow for instant movement across large distances, but passing through a portal is taxing on the mind and body. To move from one region to another through the isle requires taking a portal from one region to the isle and another portal from the isle to another region.
