I'm halfway through the six episodes of Ultraviolet, and I have to say that I'm very impressed. It's set in the present day, and is centered on three agents in a secret society of vampire hunters, but I'm pretty sure they never actually say the word "vampire" anywhere in the show. Anyway, it has both offbeat, unexpected setups (the last episode I watched concerned in vitro fertilization by vampire sperm), and nice little bits of background flavor (vampires started the Great Fire of London, and can't be recorded by surveillance equipment). Highly recommended.

All the copies are out until the end of this month, so I put it on hold. But if there's anywhere to watch it online, that'll be easier... especially since I don't have a DVD player.

I'm not sure if it's online anywhere - we're watching it on disc from Netflix.
