I added a very basic map of the world as you know it. See the Locations and NPCs thread. There are some regions that I know exist beyond this and some of your characters will know about them as well, but I would prefer to revel the world to you players one piece at a time.
Also, there are towns and other things that exist within this mapped area not yet shown, but may be in the future.
I plan to make a better map and replace this one but all the basics will remain the same.
Any questions? And I am curious if it matches how people had been invisioning it?

The map looks good to me, and it does help me see the world better. I didn't realize that Fortune was closer to the ocean than Duvik's Pass.
But we haven't reached Fortune yet, right? We're still somewhere in the mountains? Are we in that forest? I remember there being trees where we found the dead cousin.

I remember there being trees where we found the dead cousin. you (players) have not been to Fortune yet. though your character would have been there due to his background. You players have not been north of Pike Like. Pike Line is the fort that boarders the "wild north and the civilized south" and is where you took the trail leading up into Timberway Forest. And yes, you are currently in the Timberway Forest.

Hey all, icnivad and I just got back from Black Rock City and the Burning of the Man. It was a blast and fun was served in ample portions. ;D
I think I could be ready to run another session of Den of Heroes by Friday Sept 18th. How does that work for you adventurers? Think you can muster the courage to solve this bloody mystery atop the plateau wilderness of Timberway Forrest?
What devilry possessed Captain Kurdow’s cousins? One to the point of gruesome suicide and the other to cannibalism!
What could have slain several strapping frontier-men and lodged them inside a hollow tree?
Evil is afoot.

Good thing that most of us have two feet, and Lord Stoutmuzzle has four! I won't be around for the conclusion of this adventure, but I hope the rest of you don't go crazy and eat each other (or my guy!), and I will be rearing to join in when I return.

I'm pretty sure I can do the 18th. Can we leave open the possibility of playing at my house? I don't know whether or not Cara has plans yet.

I can do next friday as well. ha! funny, yeah NEXT friday. Also, I post a new thread on the Kingdom of Houghton. That is where you have been this whole campaign. I know I said do not warry too much about what is over the next hill, but I figure as it gets fleshed out I will post more details. Like most of us. I really love world building, and I have enjoyed taking my time on this world and letting it flesh out naturally. My intintion is to keep track of this and see where it takes us.

Hey players; I was hoping each of you could do a quick write up on your characters. Please use the template below and repost it in this thread. [Character Name]Apperance: [include race, gender, dress, and other physical traits. How do other people see you?] Brief Description: [a few sentences briefly giving your characters' backgrounds/goals/etc. elaberate on what you think is telling and important.] this might also help you refresh your thoughts on these dormant characters before we dust them off and use them again. thanks!

Sir Ziffaultabrand Aethelbald Tottlebach and his companion, Lord Ziffauntlebrass Stoutmuzzle. (Or Ziff and Brass, if you'd prefer.)
Appearance Ziff is a male gnome druid in his late 90s, and Brass is a male Mastiff riding dog in his early fours. At 2'11'', Ziff is short even by gnome standards. His appearance is as eccentric as his personality. He sports a gigantic handlebar mustache, a slightly oversized cloak of garish colors, and a ridiculous hat/helmet that he made himself, which offers absolutely no protection in battle. He carries it all in the most dignified way he can muster, with back straight and head held high.
More often than not, people first meeting Ziff find him quite annoying. However, he's become a staple of Duvik's pass, and is well known and liked among the populace. He and Brass are almost thought of as mascots for the small town, a sentiment enhanced by their work at Gendrew's Gormet, the local tavern.
Brief Description The self-appointed "Guardian of the Forest", Ziff was a lone druid patrolling Duvik's Pass and other nearby villages. Obsessed with military procedure and possessing a romanticized view of adventure, he'd essentially been play-acting a hero for most of his adult life. When a real crisis struck, he jumped at the chance to lend assistance, but was quickly taught a harsh lesson on the reality of adventuring. Now, he still possesses his eccentric outlook, but it's tempered with genuine experience and hardship.
