I'm ready to run my next M&M session, and would like to get that on the schedule. I know we've got D&D next week, but would you all be interested in playing the week after? Wednesday the 14th or Friday the 16th would be the best days for me, but I could also do Tuesday or Thursday as well.

Whoo! Right now that whole week (except Monday) is open for me.

I, uh, might be taking Elias to "Star Wars in Concert" on the 14th, but the 15th or 16th might work.

Cool! Well, let's tentatively say Friday the 16th, then.

Hey, Reefwood, do you know if that will work for you?

So the 16th isn't going to work. I'm going to be in Wisconsin for a few days that weekend. Unless we can push the game up (Wednesday the 14th or earlier) it'll have to be the week after.

Well, I can't do Wednesday, and Rabbit can't do Monday, right? Would Tuesday work?

I can do Tuesday. Franco, you'll be back by then, right? Think you'll be up for M&M on Tuesday? What about you Talik, are you interested in playing?

I should be back in town sometime this upcoming Sunday. As long as the game doesn't go too late, I could play on Tuesday. Otherwise, some day the following week would be fine too.

Upon further thought, Tuesday is probably too early for me. There are a bunch of things I want & need to do when I get back to Portland, including work, so I don't know how much time I'll have for everything else right away. If this was D&D or something I knew better, maybe, but I do want to rebuild, or at least tweak, my character before playing again.
Sorry about flip flopping, but the following week should work fine.

I'd like to get this back on the schedule again, and I was wondering what works for everyone. Harry's going to be out of town until Nov. 8th, and we're tentatively scheduled for Pathfinder between the 17th and 19th. Would the week before that (10th to the 14th) work for our next M&M session?

Things are bad in Mexico City. Police Commissioner Guerrero has been assassinated, and his replacement, Commissioner de Soto, is either inept, corrupt, or both. With the police force in disarray, and the city's champion no longer patroling her streets, violence has hit a fever pitch as gangs struggle to fill the power vacuum left by El Misfit. To make matters worse, an inexpensive variant of the designer drug Meta has been flooding in, giving even the lowest thug super-human abilities.
Now, Detective Angelo Vasquez has contacted his old friend and partner, the vigilante Halo, in the hopes that he can help restore some semblance of order to the metropolis before it is torn apart.

So we'll be playing Mutants and Masterminds again on Tuesday, and there are a few things I should cover.
First, let me quickly fill Icinivad in on all he needs to know. (And remind everyone else, too.) The Galactic Guardians is basically a franchise superhero group, one team per planet. Most of Earth's team went missing during our first adventure, and the PCs are replacement guardians. You should also read the background info on Rabbit's character, as it forms the basis of our upcoming adventure.
I'd initially planned this out as a campaign storyline, but I'm moving away from that a bit. Instead, the missing guardians will serve as more setting than plot. It will often be the hook that leads the players into an adventure, but don't expect it to progress much anytime soon. With our DnD campaign running, and with how infrequent games of M&M will probably end up being, I think it's best. Also, one character had given dire warnings about an impending threat, and I'm going to retcon that out, for simplicity's sake.
Icinivad, as far as creating your character, you've got a lot of freedom with your background. You could be an alien that the Guardian Council assigned to Earth to help out while we're short-hannded, an old guardian that was on a mission (and thereby avoided the fate that befell the other guardians). You could also be a hero unaffiliated with the guardians, and we could fold you in before or during the adventure. Or anything else you can think of, really.

Woo!
I need to re-build Halo. I am thining about giving him some better/enhanced equipment. Maybe his time with the Guardians he had access to higher tech.
