Me too. Enric, you're usually not free until 7, but would anyone else be interested in getting together a little earlier at rabbit/reefwood's to go over character changes? I'd like to take care of a lot of the pre-game stuff early, if possible.

The replacement Guardians had worked quickly in uncovering the mysteries behind wave of violence to hit Mexico City. The seemingly random acts of destruction have actually been targeted at city's gangs and cartels, leaving them all in ruins, paving the way for a new player. The police force has been threatened and bribed into submission; Allow this new gang to seize control, and peace will follow, peace that will be credited to the brave officers of the MCPD. At least, that was the promise. The drug Meta, normally impossibly expensive to produce, has been flooding in in massive quantities, courtesy of a young woman with the power of duplication. She is the key to the problems plaguing the city. Thanks to her, one dose of meta has turned into an infinite supply. One gun into an arsenal. One person into an army.
Her mind, though, is almost blank slate. There is knowledge, but no identity. Actions, but no will of her own behind them. She is merely a tool being wielded by Mexico City's most notorious criminal. He died a very public death on the steps of the city's courthouse, but it now seems as though this consummate planner had engineered even that. Thanks to the gifts of his product, Meta, he brought about his own resurrection, and was able to plan and scheme in a secrecy seldom granted to the living. Working unchecked for months, El Misfit has now returned.
Our heroes managed to uncover all of this in a matter of hours. But such knowledge did not come without cost. After an ambush by El Misfit and his gang, Ace Davis, one of earth's first and greatest heroes, lies dead. The rest of the Guardians are, at best, captured. And without them, few remain to challenge Mexico's master of malevolence as he begins the next stage of his plans...

Hey guys. I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to drop out of this game. It's been fun learning the new system, and I'm curious what will happen, but as my time is pretty tight these days I've been feeling like I haven't been able to make time for some of the other projects I've been trying to fit in to my life. I think I'm going to stick with my primary rpg passion, D&D, and become sparse for the other games (which is not to say I'll never partake). Sorry to drop out last minute like this, but with Ace dead, it seems like a good time for it.
I hope you guys have a great time and hopefully I'll see you on the 26th after I return from SF for some Den of Heroes or Warstories.

Just a reminder, Ace does have the ability to resurrect himself, so if in the future you ever decide to jump back in, you're more than welcome.

Sorry to see you go icinvad. Didn't even get to play a session with you. But understandable and glad you'll still be playing in the other games.
Just read the recap that was posted yesterday. So are the other PCs (Enric & Rabbit) captured? Is Marcus somewhere else? How about Jamie's PC?
I didn't get around to going over M&M stuff this weekend, but I'll be at home for the pre-game character tweaking session which should be enough to get me up to speed.

Hey, sorry about last night. I hadn't intended to fall asleep at all, just drifted off while I was reading. Glad you all still had fun.

Also, even though we didn't play M&M last night, I don't want to put it back on the calendar right away. I'm not sure what it was, but I had a hard time getting into my planning session this time around. I've got this game ready to go, but if I didn't enjoy making it, I probably won't be very good at running it either. On top of that, I've got a writing class this term that has assignments due almost every Wednesday, and running a game would be a bit much. So until I get the drive again, M&M is on hiatus.

Just let us know when you want to give running another game a go.
