Sorry if last night’s session was a little wonky. I did not have as much time to mentally prepare as I prefer. I think it went ok, but the potential to do a better job was there. I also think we all had some cob webs to shake off from the long gap. Funny how fast it can slip. It was good to get back into this game, but I was definitely a bit unsure on what my character is about (attitude, motivation, etc). At least with Darven being cursed & loopy while I was out of town, my character is probably about as foggy on the current situation as I am as a player. I guess in terms of motivation, he would at the very least want to keep helping the rest of you out since you got him cured. Also, wiping out troublesome kobolds falls along the same lines as what he does as a goblin hunter. To clear up some of my player fogginess... what exactly is going on? Is there any goal in particular you all are trying to accomplish in the kobold lair? Or is icnivad just trying to get revenge for falling in their trap during the last session? And what are these kobolds about? Do they just hang out in this lair or battle the tavern orcs you met or what? Schedule: So I think that next week the 18th through the 24th is out, but would people be able to play at all on that weekend? Would Saturday (24th) or Sunday (25th) at any time be available? I know Franco works so the daytime might not be available. Otherwise, 29th through the 31th are also open for me. I would like to play soon and also be able to have a longer session to hopefully wrap this one up. I know spending too many sessions in the same dungeon can grow stale and I don’t want you guys losing interest in kobald genocide. Based on what works for Enric, I could do Thursday the 29th. I was thinking of checking out Last Thursday, but it would probably be in the late afternoon/early evening before it got too dark anyway.

OK, how does the 29th sound for everyone else?
I also have a google calendar; "DnD Availability" that I use to put people unavailabilty while trying to set up games. If you want to join/use it feel free. I find it helps to see it all in one place.

I think I could probably do one of those earlier days if that works better for everyone, but I don't want to play twice in the same week.

Hey players; I was hoping each of you could do a quick write up on your characters. Please use the template below and repost it in this thread. [Character Name]Apperance: [include race, gender, dress, and other physical traits. How do other people see you?] Brief Description: [a few sentences briefly giving your characters' backgrounds/goals/etc. elaberate on what you think is telling and important.] this might also help you refresh your thoughts on these dormant characters before we dust them off and use them again. thanks! Franco, I think this was while you were away. Could you take some time to do this? It might help you refresh your perspective on your character.

The 27th or 28th would work for me too.
Darven Prell Apperance: [include race, gender, dress, and other physical traits. How do other people see you?] Human male wearing grays to blend into the mountainside. Cloak is dark gray on one side and pale gray on the other to mix between caves and snow. Brief Description: [a few sentences briefly giving your characters' backgrounds/goals/etc. elaberate on what you think is telling and important.] Darven has been a loner most of his life (low Cha) and has learned to be self-sufficient in the wild (ranger). He has stuck to his own for the most part while receiving a minor wage as a goblin hunter. This helped to keep the mountain passes safe while earning enough for extra supplies, usually to replace weapons or stock up for the winter. Although, he does not have any particular vendetta against goblins. More recently, he found himself in the company others who also exist somewhat outside the box and is in their debt for curing him from a wendigo curse.

Thanks reefwood. I added your write up to the wiki: swordsandsages.wikispaces.com/You can see it there in a page. There is also an area for player notes. Feel free to add or not add to that over time. Everyone, all characters now have a page on the wiki. I have also been adding stuff over time so if you have not looked it over you may want to peek at it. I still need to do some cosmetic editing (having trouble with font settings) and need to add last adventure's recap to the time line.... At any time, let me know if any areas peek your interest and you want to hear more. This is your help to focus the word and even help direct future campaigns by showing interest levels in specifics. (Don't feel obligated or course. Just for fun if you got the time.)

The wiki looks rad! I don't have to look at it much right now but will try to do so before the next session. Next Session: Oct 27th (Tuesday) Meet at Mikey and Franco's, 6:30-7ish. Does that work? Works for me too!

Rabbit and Reefwood, I totally left my plasticware in your basement. EXTREMELY SORRY. Mwhahaha! We're totally going to sacrifice it to the horned skull in the basement! Now I have a few questions/thoughts about what to do with my character at 6th level: 1) Do we want to spend 2 skill points to devise our own sign language? 2) Might swap for a new animal companion because Darven has yet to use the horse, and it might not be all that useful in a city. Although, he will 24 hours prayer time to do this. 3) Which feat to pick? Mounted Combat is an option if Darven keeps the horse. Otherwise, Dodge would be nice to boost AC because he has two-weapon defense but doesn't get to use it while wielding the ranseur (which seems to happen often). Point Blank Shot would boost his attack & damage with throwing axes and bow. Power Attack is somewhat tempting, but unless he took Ftr levels, it would take another 6 levels to get Great Cleave. Weapon focus on the ranseur could be handy, or maybe short sword since he has a pair of masterwork ones. 4) Equipment - depending on how much gold we each receive, Darven will probably stock up on some masterwork weapons. A ranseur for sure and at least one throwing axe. Perhaps a battleaxe for higher damage with two-weapon fighting, or a rapier for the higher critical threat. Decisions, decisions...

Here is the 'loot' you made off with in the last adventure:
Gems Confiscated worth 2,190 10 obsidian x2 300 emerald x2 50 amber x2 75 white opal x2 10 garnet x2 50 moonstone x2 100 black pearl x1 50 bloodstone x2 500 diamond x2 Clockwork Mask of the Mind Flayer worth 8,000
Alchemists Workshop/Tools worth 2,000
Mace of Majesty Worth unkown, though being a personal gift from Eludecia to Brother Marle I do not imagine it being for sale. However, if an actual worth is needed let me know.
I am going to leave it to you players to decide what is being sold and what is being kept for character use.
Buyer's wish list?
You are getting into the stages where you may have the money to start obtaining some note worthy equipment.
As the DM, I am curious about what you are thinking about. Any goals or ideas on this kind of stuff?
[edit: i also wanted to mention that looking to buy magic items that are listed in the Dungeon's Master guide (and other places) is not out of the ordinary so be sure to keep that in mind as a resource. just a anFYI/thought.]
